CNY Cruise

My eyes swooped down onto the familiar face of my watch.

Its 4.50pm.

I guess I will not be late after all. The anxiety and worry that has been bugging me for close to 2 months has worn my body. I am about to meet what I have been so worried about all these while ->Ky's whole extended family.

I picked up singing lessons in hope that I will be at least decent when I meet them. I tried to learn Cantonese (but failed miserably) so I could better communicate with them. And the least I could do was to be early when the meeting time was at 5pm. All these to create a better impression.

BUT!!!!!!

I forgot my passport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O_O
OH MY GOSH!! Can you imagine how I felt that instant? They say first impression counts alot.
Goodbye my love.. Wo de impression. Zai jian..
Took me an hour to go home and collect my passport. -_-

FORTUNATELY, they are very easy-going, friendly, and not to mention, VERY humorous. My uneasiness quickly faded away as they continuously warmed up to me. My lack of spoken canto was perhaps a double edge sword. I couldn't communicate which is a very bad thing, but at least it was funny whenever they tried to speak English to me. Lol..
*How you doing now?* in canto. =P

Now that they have left for Hong Kong, I must say I enjoyed their company tremendously. I admit I did not understand most of their conversation, but I roughly got some. And Ky, pls.. DO NOT EVER REVEAL THAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHEN YOU SEE ME LAUGHING ALONG!! Its only polite that I laugh along so lol.. pls do not reveal me again. It was so embarrassing. =P

Another fortunate thing was that Ky's bro was there. Kam Wing was probably the only person other then ky to be able to talk normally to me. Oh and he IS A VERY GOOD SINGER. I will really hope to organise a gathering or something when he comes back to Singapore again. He plays basketball and Texas hod em. Clicking with the guys will not be any issue.

All in all, I miss their presence now. I need a dosage of their laughter + cantofied English. I will be looking forward to seeing them. But by then.. I better pick up canto already.

And yes.. Mahjong anyone?!?! *eye sinisterly*

Hong Kong Mahjong.. Here I come!! =)
